Green Square Community Hall

Suitable for meetings, training programs and family functions. The hall is located in a quiet area and features polished floors, a small kitchen and direct access to the car park.

It is available for hire 7 days per week from 7am to midnight.

Dimensions

  • main hall: 17 metres by 9 metres
  • side room: 7 metres by 3.5 metres
  • kitchen: 9 metres by 3.5 metres.

Capacity

  • dinner: 80 people
  • cocktail party: 120 people
  • theatre: 120 people.

  • domestic oven
  • 4-element stove top
  • domestic dishwasher
  • instant hot water (Zip system)
  • fridge.

  • 120 chairs

Special considerations

  • Non-residential area.
  • Additional cleaning can be arranged.
  • Some functions may require security.
  • Gold licence caterers required for alcohol service, venue is unlicensed.

Accessibility

Wheelchair access is via ramp at the front entrance and the toilet is accessible.

Transport and parking

  • Green Square train station is within walking distance.
  • Bus routes 309 and 310 stop at Botany Road, near Epsom Road.
  • Bus routes 343 and 348 stop at Joynton Avenue.
  • Limited 2-hour parking.
  • Limited car parking available.

Small hall hire fees

  • weekdays until 5pm: $40 per hour
  • weekdays after 5pm, all day on weekends and public holidays: $57 per hour
  • day rate (9am to 5pm only): $240 per day
  • weekend full day rate, including public holidays (8am to midnight): $570 per day
  • elections: $1,000 per election
  • security deposit (fully refundable) $500
  • key deposit (fully refundable) $35
  • community hire rate: 50 per cent discount on standard hire rate.

Additional charges

  • cleaning fee: $53.50 per hour
  • security fee: quotation available on request
  • room set-up fee: quotation available on request
  • portable PA hire: $250 security deposit per booking
  • commercial sales surcharge: booking fee + 25 per cent
  • wedding surcharge: booking fee + 10 per cent.

Joynton Park Kiosk

The kiosk is within the park area bordered by Gadigal Avenue and Victoria Park Parade. It has 3 shutters providing access to the outside park area and a kitchenette, which can be used to support functions in the surrounding park. It will seat 6 people with a maximum capacity of 10 people standing.

It is available for hire 7 days per week from 9am to 9pm.

Dimensions

The kiosk working area is 4.6 metres by 2.3 metres.

Kitchenette with:

  • stainless steel benchtops
  • sink
  • microwave
  • fridge.

It is located next to the public toilet.

Transport and parking

  • Bus routes M20 and 301 stop at O’Dea Avenue, near Bourke Street.
  • Bus route 343 stops at Elizabeth Street, near Joynton Avenue.
  • Limited 2-hour parking.

Kiosk hire fees

  • standard rate: $30 per hour
  • local community/not-for-profit organisations: $15 per hour
  • day rate (9am to 5pm only): $180 per day
  • decurity deposit (fully refundable): $250
  • key deposit (fully refundable): $35.
