Going for GOLD

Our GOLD program – Growing Older and Living Dangerously – is aimed at people over 55 years of age.

It helps older people find and take part in health-promoting activities that are readily available across our beautiful city.

No matter what your age or level of fitness, you can stay healthy, active and involved in the City of Sydney's vibrant community life.

To help you get started we have produced the GOLD program of activities (download below).

To name just a few of the activities on offer, you can:

  • join a computer class
  • attend a talk at the library
  • learn to paint
  • take a walk in the park
  • go dragon boat racing
  • learn to cycle
  • become a volunteer
  • join an exercise or Zumba class.

The City of Sydney gratefully acknowledges Brisbane City Council for permission to use the name Growing Old and Living Dangerously (GOLD).
