The Cliff Noble Community Centre has been an important community site for many years.

Within easy walking distance to Redfern and Erskineville train stations, the centre holds many different activities for the local community.

A monthly day trip departs from the centre. Contact us for details.

Venue hire information

Suitable for meetings, gentle exercise groups, rehearsals and small functions. The room has a northerly aspect and carpeted floor. It is available for hire Monday to Friday from 5pm to midnight and on weekends from 7am to midday.

Dimensions

The room is 12 metres by 13 metres.

  • dinner: 60 people
  • cocktail party: 120 people
  • theatre: 100 people.

There is no accessible toilet available but wheelchair access is from the Suttor Street entrance.

Standard room hire fees

  • weekdays until 5pm: $43 per hour
  • weekdays after 5pm, all day on weekends and on public holidays: $47 per hour
  • day rate (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm only): $258 per day
  • weekend full day rate, including public holidays (8am to midnight): $470 per day
  • community hire rate: 50% discount on standard hire rate.

Additional charges

  • security deposit – a bond equivalent to 4 weeks rental charged at commencement of recurring bookings and is based on hire rate applicable at time of booking
  • election surcharge: $1,170 per election
  • cleaning fee: quotation available on request
  • security fee: quotation available on request
  • room set-up fee: quotation available on request
  • portable PA hire: $250 security deposit per booking
  • wedding surcharge: booking fee + 10 per cent
  • lighting rig operator (Glebe Town Hall only)
  • additional site inspection (2 included per booking): $75
  • self help groups – 50% discount applies to community/not-for-profit organisations/social enterprise fee – available to self-help and support groups on application only (conditions apply)
