Glebe Youth Service

After Dark

If you're looking to meet other young people and make new friends, you can do so in a safe place – after dark!

The After Dark program is run by the Glebe Youth Service on Friday night at the Peter Forsyth Auditorium from 6.30pm to 10.30 pm and on Saturday night at Glebe Youth Service from 7.30pm to 11.30pm.

The project is co-funded by the City of Sydney and the NSW Government.

Reaching out

If you're a young person facing social or financial disadvantages, the Glebe Youth Service has services available to directly help if you are aged 12 to 24. Particularly if it's having an impact on your family life, your education, your health or your employment prospects.

If you are in crisis you might be assigned to what's known as a caseworker. This is someone who can help you by acting on your behalf when and where it's needed, and who can give you support and guidance counselling to help you overcome your crisis.

Some of the service's other programs include:

  • drop-in centre
  • pathways education for Year 7 to 10 students
  • sport and cultural activities
  • music and video production skills
  • computer skills
  • Boyzone and Girlzone programs.

In trouble?

If you have found yourself in trouble with the police before, the service can help to try and keep you away from more trouble with its young offender's support program.
