StudyNSW and Service NSW offer a dedicated and centralised information and referral service for international students in NSW. Students can also call the Service NSW 24/7 contact centre on 137 788.

Invite your local NSW Police crime prevention officer to your institution to meet the students. Stay connected with the NSW Police's international students Facebook page.

City of Sydney services

Direct students to our community support webpages.

Our share accommodation tips are also available for download in multiple languages. Students who encounter illegal accommodation can get further advice on our website where they can also lodge an anonymous report.

Our community centres are open to international students. For example, KGV Recreation Centre in The Rocks provides high quality sports and fitness facilities including multipurpose indoor and outdoor courts, a spacious gym and popular exercise classes.

360 membership gives students access to our aquatic and fitness facilities. Each centre has a 50m pool for swimming laps and a smaller pool for beginners plus gyms, fitness classes, massage/physiotherapy and cafes. Organise visits on open days to encourage students to commit to regular exercise and get information on learn to swim classes.

High quality creative arts classes are available at concession rates from our Pine Street Creative Arts Centre.
