International students
Welcome to Sydney
A great number of international students live in the City of Sydney because of its proximity to universities, TAFEs, colleges and other education providers.
The City welcomes our temporary residents who have moved to Sydney to study. The City worked with Inside Guides to put together the 2013 Sydney 'International Student Guide' (download below) that we hope will help you discover everything there is to love about your temporary hometown. Please note, the download is in 2 separate parts.
The guide covers:
- transport
- accommodation
- employment
- communications
- shopping
- dining and entertainment
- adventure.
If you need help to contact the City during your time in Sydney, please refer to the Translating and Interpreting Service under Links.
Student safe
We worked with the NSW Police Service to put together Personal safety tips (download below) in a variety of community languages to help you avoid crime and remain safe during your stay in Sydney.
