Tenancy 1, 247 Oxford Street, Paddington is part of the Paddington Town Hall complex, which includes a large public hall, library, the Chauvel cinema and Eastside Radio, also a tenant of our accommodation grants program.

The property is conveniently located within the Oxford Street and Paddington retail precinct and is encircled by Paddington Reservoir Gardens, Victoria Barracks and residential houses. It is accessed from the Oatley Road entrance, which it shares with the Chauvel cinema. 

This multi-faceted space is being made available for use by a cultural or creative organisation, or an organisation that has a cultural or creative focus.

The premises has been established by previous tenants as a space suitable for screen production. It retains purpose-built features amenable to this use, including a green screen studio (pictured).

Given its existing infrastructure, preference will be given to organisations that have a film, video, writing for film production, festivals and/or events focus, or organisations that work with these groups.

The premises is to be managed by a single lead organisation who will become the lead tenant. The property may be used solely by the lead tenant or proposals will be considered for sharing of space, with the lead tenant directly managing multiple groups to share use of the property. 

The property includes a variety of lockable areas with shared facilities and a shared entrance. These facilities include a green screen studio with upper floor editing suite, several office spaces, meeting rooms and classrooms.

28 June, 5 July or 12 July: Open houses. To be eligible to apply for this property applicants must register to attend an open house.
