Banner grants and sponsorships

The City of Sydney provides charity, non-profit cultural and community service organisations access to utilise the City’s street banner poles.

The City’s Banner Grants and Sponsorships Program aims to:

  • support cultural and community projects, events and activities occurring within local area
  • provide an attractive and visual medium that makes a positive contribution to the overall character of the streetscape
  • improve awareness of cultural and community events and services in the city
  • contribute to a vibrant cultural and community life in the city.

Organisations are required to identify the sponsorship or grant program which best fits their circumstances. Fees and charges are set for the facilities each year by Council. There is a variety of rates for each venue, based on commercial and not-for-profit use.

All applications are assessed against the grant criteria and in accordance with the City's grants and sponsorships policy (download below).

To apply please contact the City’s grants team on 02 9265 9333 to discuss your application and request an application form. Complete the application form and email it to communitygrants@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.

You must clearly answer all questions in the application.
