Culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds

Domestic violence

Domestic violence support services

Services for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and newly arrived migrants.

Have you recently arrived to Australia from another country? Are you from a different cultural background? Is English your second language?

In any of these cases, there are services to help you if you have been putting up with violence and want it to stop. So that you can speak in your first language, you can contact the interpreter service on 131 450 and ask them to connect you to the Domestic Violence Line on 1800 65 64 63.

You can also call the police or go to your local police station. Tell them the language you speak and ask them to call the interpreter service.

Translating and Interpreting Service

For free interpreter services, phone 131 450 and ask to be connected to the police or other services.
