Sydney City Farm booking terms and conditions

Education

Pre-booking is required for Sydney City Farm education programs. Bookings can be made via the City of Sydney website.
You will need to create a log in to access and use the booking system.

For Sydney City Farm fee-based programs, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Payment methods accepted are Visa, MasterCard and AMEX. If you want to enquire about using another form of payment please contact Sydney City Farm at the City of Sydney on 029265 9333 or cityfarm@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.

Concessions

The City of Sydney allows a concession rate for children under 16, full-time students, holders of Commonwealth health care pensioner concession or seniors health cards. Proof of benefit must be provided to Sydney City Farm. Scan and email your card to cityfarm@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.

Student cancellations

Cancellations may be made up to 14 days before the program start date and a refund provided for fee-based programs. Cancellations can be made via the City of Sydney website.

You can opt for a voucher credit that can be used for another City Farm program (valid for 12 months from the initial program start date) or for a full refund to be provided. Voucher credit can be used for payment or part payment of an alternative City Farm program.

Applications for refunds or credit vouchers within 14 days of the program date will be considered on a case by case basis at the discretion of the City. Only circumstances outside the control of the applicant will be considered and need to be supported by evidence (for example a medical certificate) or a statutory declaration. Refunds and credit vouchers will not be issued within 14 days of the program date for a change of mind. Attendees of multi-session courses/programs are not automatically eligible for a refund, credit or make up class if they miss a session. Program changes and cancellations

Sydney City Farm makes every effort to ensure programs go ahead. Sydney City Farm reserves the right to adjust program times, locations and tutors within the education program.

Our programs need a minimum number of students to go ahead. If your program does not have enough attendees it will be cancelled. You will be informed via phone and email 2 working days prior to the program and a full refund will be provided. Alternatively you can opt for a City Farm voucher credit that can be used for payment or part payment of an alternative City Farm program.

Occasionally we may also have to cancel programs due to extreme weather or other unforeseen issues. Sydney City Farm will use its best endeavours to inform you of any cancellations via phone as soon as possible and a full refund will be provided. Alternatively you can opt for a City Farm voucher credit that can be used for payment or part payment of an alternative City Farm program.

Sydney City Farm will not be liable to you for any loss or damage suffered by you as a result of cancellation of any programs.

Privacy

The City of Sydney follows a privacy management plan.

Privacy protection notice

Purpose of collection: To process booking and payment for Sydney City Farm program.

Intended recipients: Relevant City Farm staff.

Supply: Personal information including name, contact phone number and email are needed to process your Sydney City Farm booking and to contact you if needed.

Access/correction: You can log on, access and correct your own personal information via the City of Sydney booking system.

Storage: City of Sydney, City Greening and Leisure Unit will be collecting and storing your information, provided via the booking system.

Discount vouchers

Sydney City Farm may at times offer special membership or promotional vouchers that can be used to receive a discount off the program fee. Promotional codes must be entered at the time of booking and cannot be applied retrospectively.

Children’s programs

Code of conduct: For children’s programs, the rules of behavior are explained at the start of the program. Children are not to disrupt the learning of other students, and continued enrolment is conditional on behavior.

Unwell students: Sick children are not allowed into programs. If a tutor identifies a student is unwell, parents will be called to collect their child.

Duty of care: All children must be signed in and out of programs, a contact phone number for the program period must be supplied and children must be collected on time.

Shoes: All children’s program attendees must wear covered shoes at all times. Open-toe shoes are not permitted.
