Help at hand
The City of Sydney has released a booklet called 'Domestic Violence is a Crime' to help people who have experienced domestic or family violence. The booklet was written by NSW Police with support from the City. The City aims to make the crime reporting process clearer and less intimidating.
The booklet includes information such as:
- how to find protection
- how to apply for an apprehended domestic violence order
- who to contact for help
- emergency accommodation services.

- City libraries
- community centres
- Redfern Legal Centre
- Inner City Legal Centre
- Women’s Legal Services NSW
- Wirringa Baiya Aboriginal Women’s Legal Centre.
