Climate change is real today and over 90 cities around the world are reducing their emissions to secure our world for future generations.

The Federal Government has joined the global movement by introducing a price on carbon. We invited small and big business leaders, policy makers and experts to explain how a price on carbon works and how it affects you.

The City of Sydney hosted a sold-out public forum with eminent authority on climate change Professor Ross Garnaut, who welcomed the City of Sydney's efforts to become a low carbon city by reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions.

Professor Ross Garnaut is one of Australia's most distinguished and well-known economists. In November 2010, Professor Garnaut was commissioned by the Australian Government to provide an update to the 2008 Climate Change Review. Since then, Professor Garnaut has released a series of papers addressing developments across a range of areas including climate change science and impacts, carbon pricing and the electricity sector.
