Shaping our city for the future - The City has just approved a record $1.9 billion building and construction program over the next 10 years – our largest-ever capital spending program.

A new pool for Sydney - It is the City’s first fully accessible, heated outdoor pool. There are bleachers and umbrellas, sky-lit change rooms, shaded areas and a landscaped sunbathing space.

Record infrastructure budget for Sydney - The City will embark on a record $1.9 billion building and construction program over the next 10 years – our largest-ever capital spending program. These are just some of our funded projects.

Threats to local government - Have you heard about a series of NSW Government reviews that threaten the future of local government and impact on your rights to shape and protect your neighbourhood and city?

Kids on bikes - City kids love bikes. Eighty-five per cent of students from Crown Street Public School recently rode a bike or scooter to school as part of National Ride2School Day. Bourke Street Public School came a close second with 81 per cent.

Bold action to tackle climate change - At the City of Sydney we’ve committed to reducing our city’s emissions by 70 per cent (on 2006 levels). We’ve already cut emissions by 19 per cent since 2006 and current projects will reduce them by 29 per cent by 2016.
