Is sending the form in all I have to do? Are there more steps to follow?

Sending in your forms is the first step and all you need to do for now. The City of Sydney will contact you should there be further details required.

Once your submission has been reviewed by the City of Sydney and your eligibility has been decided, you will receive a letter telling you whether or not you have been placed on the non-residential register.

Enrolment letters will be issued to individuals who are entitled to be on the non-residential register 130 days prior to any City of Sydney local government election or by-election. If you receive a letter confirming your enrolment you will then be required to vote in City of Sydney local government elections, as long as your details do not change before the election.

If you are not eligible the City will contact you to advise why you have not been determined as eligible for placement on the register.

When will I hear back if I'm eligible?

Once the details you provided have been processed you will receive a letter of inclusion, or the City will contact you if further details are required.

Enrolment letters for each local government election will be sent 130 days before any City of Sydney local government election or by-election.

If you are not eligible the City will contact you to advise why you have not been determined as eligible for placement on the register.

Can I register online?

No, requests to join the non-residential register and rolls must be made in writing, as signed documentation is required.

If you wish to remove yourself from the register or change your details once you, or representatives from your corporation, are included on the register you are required to complete and return Form G.
