DATADRUM V2.0

02.Oct

What would it be like if buildings began to dream?

In DataDrum v2.0, Australian artist Sohan Ariel Hayes collaborates with Laetitia Wilson in the culmination of an Asialink visual arts residency at Objectifs – Centre for Photography and Filmmaking. Video is mapped onto miniature architectural models and participants drum electronic pads to interact with the work, triggering sound and image events.

A reflexive relation unfolds between player and artwork as the solid architectural façade is made permeable, revealing unexpected interpretations of geometry, dimension and place, expressed through graphics, sound and movement. The sounds are gathered from specific locations around Singapore and partnered with the moving images to morph the architectural façade, to imagine it dreaming, imagine its interior/other possible worlds.

Don't miss this one night only show!

Location: Post Museum, 107+109 Rowell Road
Price: Free admission.

SMALL :: ALL THE LITTLE THINGS

09.Oct - 17.Oct

“Living is a form of not being sure, not knowing what next or how. The moment you know how, you begin to die a little. The artist never entirely knows. We guess. We may be wrong, but we take leap after leap in the dark.” -Agnes Demile

Drawing from all the little things in life to create her art, self-taught artist, Jacinta Sue, feels that art (and life) are about exploration, experimentation, expression and expansion. Normally working on small ink drawings that are often colourful, detailed, and nature-themed, her new collection is mainly watercolour, celebrating nature’s gifts and surprises.

Born in Singapore and based in San Francisco, Jacinta is the illustrator/designer behind Allymoon, her brand of giftware and home accessories.

Small :: All the Little Things :: is her first solo exhibition in Singapore.

Opening hours:
Mon to Fri: 11.00am to 7.00pm
Sat: 11.00am to 5.00pm
