Dealing with damp
This workshop will be presented by David Young OAM, heritage consultant and leading expert on salt attack and rising damp, and author of a technical guide on the subject.
Topics to be covered include understanding rising (and falling) damp and the role of salts in damaging masonry, techniques for investigating damp problems, and a range of approaches to treating and managing damp-affected walls.
Proceeds after costs of this workshop to the APT Longford Academy and student scholarship fund.
