No more paper applications

From 6 March 2017 we no longer require paper copies for some of our development and building-related applications.

Your application will need to meet our digital requirements.

For householders

The form for small-scale residential developments can be used for:

  • alterations and additions to existing dwellings (less than 3 storeys)
  • single new dwellings (less than 3 storeys)
  • dual occupancy dwellings
  • granny flats
  • garages and carports
  • ancillary outbuildings
  • minor alterations to residential units that do not add height or floor space.

Download the small-scale residential development application.

To apply for consent to prune or to remove trees from private land a separate application form needs to be completed. For more information, go to 'pruning and removing trees' at the bottom of the page.

More information about what is required with your completed DA form can be found in the application process section.

Landscape works

If you are proposing landscape works with your development proposal, details of the works are required. Refer to our landscape code for single dwellings.

Find out about the landscape code for all other development except for single dwellings.

If you would prefer to discuss your proposal, you can contact the City and make an appointment to speak to a planner about your proposed development using our book a planner portal.
