Bookings, payments and refunds
BookingsAt the time of booking a course at the City of Sydney's Pine Street Creative Arts Centre credit card details must be supplied. If you do not have a credit card you must come in to the Pine Street office and pay in person by cash or eftpos, or send us a cheque/money order within 1 week of your booking. Payment can be in full or a minimum 25 per cent deposit. After 1 week, if no payment has been received your booking will be cancelled and offered to someone else on the waiting list. Only fully paid and booked students are permitted into the studios.
PaymentFull payment for courses must be made no less than 2 weeks before the course starts. If the full fee is not paid within this time your booking will be cancelled and offered to someone else on the waiting list. Your payment is not processed until minimum numbers have been reached for your booked course. If those numbers are not reached you will be notified 1 week before the start of term that the course has been cancelled.
ConcessionsCity of Sydney residents who have a current benefit card are eligible to apply for concession rates. Proof of the benefit must be provided when making your booking. Concession rates are also available for our children's courses – parents who have a current benefit card are eligible.
Student cancellationsCancellations made up to 2 weeks before the course starts will be charged a 25 per cent administration fee. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the course starting will not be refunded. If a student misses a class once they have started they are not eligible for a refund or a credit. Missed classes are the student's responsibility.
Centre cancellationsThe Pine Street Creative Arts Centre makes every effort to ensure advertised courses go ahead, however, the centre reserves the right to change a program either before or during the course and to cancel any program if not enough students enrol. If the centre cancels a course you will be offered an alternative course or a refund if your payment has already been processed.
No credits or "make up" classesOnce a course has started, missing a class is the student's responsibility. There are no credits or refunds available if a student misses a class. 'Make up' classes cannot be accommodated as the majority of our classes are fully booked. An extra person in a class during a course impacts negatively on the tutor and the students who are legitimately enrolled in that course.
Payment methodsWe accept cash, eftpos, cheque/money order (made payable to: The City of Sydney), Visa or Mastercard.
