Creative classes, workshops and exhibitions

Pine Street Creative Arts Centre is the City of Sydney's community arts centre. 

Internationally exhibiting artists and specialist tutors deliver a dynamic program of high quality arts courses.

Our aim is to encourage, stimulate and promote local arts and cultural activities.

Diverse and must-see exhibitions feature in our community art gallery, providing an affordable space to showcase work.

The gallery and office are located on the first floor and unfortunately not accessible. Some studios have limited accessibility. Please contact us to enquire about accessible options.

Opening hours

Monday to Friday: 9am–5pm (Office and art gallery)
Saturday: 11am–4pm (Gallery exhibitions only)
Sunday and public holidays: Closed

Adult courses on offer at Pine Street Creative Arts include working with ceramics, printmaking, silver jewellery, drawing, painting and street art.

Youth (16–25 years)

Pine Street Creative Arts offers a variety of youth programs which are delivered by specialist teachers and professional artists in a friendly and engaging environment.

Children (5–15 years)

Using the creative process, the children’s art program at Pine Street Creative Arts aims to focus children’s energies towards developing skills through a range of arts practices and experiences.

School holidays

Join us each holiday break for Pine Street Creative Arts’s school holiday program. These feature a range of creative arts programs designed for creative young people aged 5 to 18 years.

Master classes

Master classes at Pine Street Creative Arts are generally held outside the normal term, led by professional, exhibiting artists and include working with a wide range of materials.

Short courses

Tasters are short, low-cost workshops that provide an introduction to the range of programs on offer at Pine Street Creative Arts.
