Children are encouraged to work on projects at their own pace, under the guidance of a tutor in fully equipped studios at the centre.

    Building on our popular school holiday digital workshops, we are excited to introduce this new after-school course in digital art and animation in our specialised Mac studio.

    Under the guidance of talented comic book artist and animator Craig Bunker (aka Bunkwaa) kids will get a hands on introduction to the fundamentals of digital technology and programs like Photoshop.

    Throughout the 8-week course students will:

    – Create digital drawings using Photoshop and complete animations with iMovie
    – Learn how to create animation in Photoshop including the use of interactive elements like sound and movement
    – Learn how to use tools in Photoshop to make digital artwork look more professional
    – Get an introduction to basic projection mapping and learn how to create a short animation sequence in Photoshop that will interact with a 3D projection surface

    This is a fun hands on course to get kids thinking about the whole process of digital production and thoughts behind the creative process.

    Small group class – Maximum 10 students

    This fun after-school course teaches kids the fundamentals of ceramic wheel throwing.

    Under the guidance of our experienced tutor, students will get hands-on experience using the potter’s wheel to make simple cylindrical forms and bowls using white raku clay.

    They will also experiment with surface treatments like brushing on clay slips and glazes.

    Students will also get a good understanding of the properties and limits of the material and ideas and thoughts behind the creative process.

    Works will be fired and ready to pick up following the end of the course.

    Small group class – Maximum 10 students
    Wear: Comfortable clothing, must wear closed toe shoes and bring an apron
