About the centre
The Ultimo Community Centre is a popular local venue for sports, recreation, learning and arts and craft. We cater to the needs of seniors, people with a disability, children and the local Chinese and Mandarin speaking community with Cantonese speaking staff. Our services and programs include:
- aged and disability services
- martial arts
- fitness classes
- playgroups, after-school and holiday care
- court, hall and room hire.
Sport competitions
We run social sport competitions in basketball, futsal, netball and volleyball. The competitions run for at least 11 weeks.
Opening hours
Monday to Friday 10am to 8pm
Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm
The centre is closed on public holidays.

Our centre hosts 2 independent child care centres.
The Kindy Patch Learning Centre is located on level 2. Its opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm. For more information about fees and availability for your child, please contact 02 9660 6166.
Star Kidz is located on level 1. Its opening hours are Monday to Sunday from 6am to 10pm. For more information about fees and availability for your child, please contact 02 9777 9117.

Kids Tennis
Our Kids Tennis program runs on Sunday mornings from 10am to 12 noon. For more information, please contact Alison Scott directly on 0418 200 548.
Kids Soccer

Storytime and Ryhmetime
Each Thursday morning the City's Ultimo library branch, located on level 1, runs 2 special programs for young children with its Storytime and Rhymetime sessions. Every second Tuesday from 11am in the library there is a bilingual (English to Chinese) Storytime. For more information please phone 02 9265 9695.

There are 2 libraries located within our centre. The City's Ultimo library branch is located on level 1.
The Jessie Street National Women's Library is on our ground floor. It is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm. To speak to a librarian, please contact 02 9571 5359.

Our community hall is available for hire. It is suitable for seminars, workshops, large meetings, activities and events. The hall can accommodate up to 180 people at full capacity.
