Why not take control of your morning routine and walk to work?

The City of Sydney's new Redfern/Chippendale maps will help you avoid busy roads, find the best coffee and even discover an after-work hang out.  

Shortcut 1: Darlington

Follow the leafy back streets of the Broadway link where you’ll walk through Peace Park and the Central Park precinct. Then plan your dinner as you stroll through Spice Alley before hitting the New York inspired Goods Line. Takes about 35 minutes.

Tip: This morning walk will leave you invigorated and ready to take on the day.

Shortcut 2: Chippendale

This inner-city walking route heads down trendy Abercrombie Street, passing art galleries, cafes and boutiques in Chippendale’s vibrant backstreets before going through the Goods Line’s green oasis and China Town. Takes about 30 minutes.

Tip: Slow the pace on the return home to discover local shops and soak up the street art, architecture and galleries.

Shortcut 3: Prince Alfred Park

From vibrant Redfern Street, head down George Street to Prince Alfred Park. Enjoy the expanse of green and all the action in the park before taking the pedestrian subway under Central to the Goods Line, and on to Chinatown. Takes about 30 minutes.
