Our Chinese language collection is the largest in any Australian public library with more than 30,000 items available for loan from the Haymarket and Ultimo branches. It includes books for adults and children, DVDs, popular music CDs, magazines and newspapers.
You can search for items in the library's online catalogue. Books that have been purchased from 2000 onwards are listed.
Mandarin and Cantonese-speaking library staff are available at the Haymarket branch.
A range of English language learning items are available from the City's library network, including CDs, graded readers, audio books, and English study books covering grammar, vocabulary and writing skills.
If you're travelling or studying the Chinese language, CDs, books and other resources are available to help you further develop your Chinese language skills.
Visit the State Library of NSW website to find out about Chinese language collections at other libraries in Sydney.
