Thành phố Sydney có mạng lưới thư viện đặt tại Circular Quay, Glebe, Haymarket, Kings Cross, Newtown, Surry Hills, Town Hall, Ultimo và Waterloo.
Thư viện có:
- sách, sách thâu âm, tạp chí, âm nhạc, đĩa CD và DVD
- báo chí trong và ngoài nước, Internet và máy vi tính
- tài liệu ngôn ngữ dành cho người thuộc nguồn gốc văn hóa khác nhau gồm có các thứ tiếng Hoa, Pháp, Đức, Nam dương, Nhật, Triều tiên, Nga, Tây ban nha, Thái lan, Thổ nhĩ kỳ và Việt nam
- có nhiều tài liệu tiếng Hoa nhất nước Úc và dịch vụ TV tiếng Hoa vệ tinh phát năm kênh từ Trung quốc, Hồng Kông và Đài loan
- dịch vụ đem sách đến tận nhà miễn phí dành cho cư dân già yếu, khuyết tật, bệnh tật hoặc đang dưỡng bệnh.
The Vietnamese language collection is located at the Haymarket branch. The collection contains over 1,800 popular books, DVDs, CDs, children's books, magazines and more.
The daily newspaper Chieu Duong is also available.
Learning English
A range of English language learning items are available from the City's library network, including CDs, graded readers, audio books, and study guides covering grammar, vocabulary and writing skills.
