Temporary waiver of PC access fees
The City of Sydney will upgrade our public access computers in 2016 across all City of Sydney Library branches. Due to a delay in the delivery of this project we are temporarily waiving the non-member PC access fee ($3.50 per 30 minutes) until we can provide an enhanced level of PC service for our customers.
Fees and charges will be re-instated once the upgrade has been completed. Current fees and charges for printing remain the same and will continue to incur a fee.
We thank you for your patience and support of this important initiative.
How to join
Library membership is free to all NSW residents, including local people at risk (homeless and refugee status). More on library membership.
Borrowing is generally free. If you can't find a book or other item in our collection and request it from another library (outside our network), you will need to pay small fee. More on inter-library loans.
A few of the services we offer also attract a fee, such as photocopying and sending faxes.
We are waiving fines for overdue loans for a 12-month trial from 1 July 2016.
Simply return all of your overdue items, we’ll wipe your fines, and you can keep borrowing.
Fines are still charged for lost or damaged library items. See a list of fines and penalties.
