Membership and fees

Membership and fees

How to join

Library membership is free to all NSW residents, including local people at risk (homeless and refugee status). More on library membership.

Fees

Borrowing is generally free. If you can't find a book or other item in our collection and request it from another library (outside our network), you will need to pay small fee. More on inter-library loans.

A few of the services we offer also attract a fee, such as photocopying and sending faxes.

Fines

Following a successful trial, we’re waiving fines for overdue loans until 30 June 2021. As long as overdue items are returned, you won't be fined, no matter how overdue they are.

If you have an overdue item or outstanding fee, your library membership will be temporarily suspended.

Fees are still charged for lost or damaged library items.
