About library fines
We are waiving fines for overdue loans for a 12-month trial from 1 July 2016.
Simply return all of your overdue items, we’ll wipe your fines, and you can keep borrowing.
Please bring your overdue loans back to your library before 1 July 2016. If you don’t, your library membership will be temporarily suspended. Membership suspension means you won’t be able to borrow from the collection, including eResources, or use the computers and printers within the library branches.
All suspensions are lifted once the overdue items are returned and any lost and inter-library loan fees are paid. Any overdue fines previously paid cannot be refunded.
After 1 July 2016, it may take some time for your online membership account to be updated.
Penalties still apply for lost or damaged items.
We’ll remind you to return your items 4 days before and on your item’s due date. An overdue notice will be sent 1 week and then 28 days after the due date. If still not returned, the item will be marked as lost. Fees will apply.
Members can pay their fees and penalties at any library branch. Please see the table below for a list of our charges.
