Programs Currently Open for Application
Local Community Grants Program – Now Open
The City offers grants to non-profit community organisations for community projects, events, activities, services and resources that help build strong, healthy and vibrant local communities. Close 6pm Monday 22 September
Matching Grants Program – Now Open
The Matching Grants Program supports identified community projects or objectives in the Local Actions Plans by matching with City Resources what is raised in-cash or in-kind by the community. Close 6pm Monday 22 September
Accommodation Grants Program
City of Sydney assists not-for-profit groups community organizations with accommodation for the provision of services, programs and projects to meet community needs.
Business Support Program
The Business Support Program provides grants to non-profit business organisations that seek to revitalise and enhance local commercial and retail precincts.
Children's Fine Art Competition - World Environment Day 2008
City of Sydney’s Waste Education Team and Pine Street Creative Arts Centre invites children aged 5 – 12 years, to celebrate World Environment Day with an exciting new competition, the Children’s Fine Art Competition.
Community Services Grants Program

History Publication Sponsorship Program
The History Publication Sponsorship Program assists with the costs of publications that are considered relevant to the ongoing research into and recording of the history of the City of Sydney.
Multicultual Art Competition 2008
This inaugural competition invites artists and illustrators to submit artworks that tell a story or encapsulates an impression of the City’s diversity and multiculturalism.
Sydney, City of Villages Art Exhibition & Prize
Artists are invited to submit to Sydney, City of Villages. Works by ten Australian artists will be showcased in JCDecaux Street Furniture sites and a gallery exhibition at Pine Street Creative Arts Centre.
Sydney Life Photography Exhibition & Prize, Valued at $10,000
Photographers are invited to submit to Sydney Life, an exhibition of large-scale photographic works displayed along the beautiful central walkway of Hyde Park North. Submissions closed Tuesday 8 July 2008.
