Greening Hawksley Street, Waterloo

What we’re doing

We’re improving the streetscape and calming traffic by planting new trees within the road. This will allow the trees to grow in enough soil and away from overhead cables. We’re installing:

• 2 raised landscaped median strips at the centre of Hawksley Street
• 4 new trees to provide shade, cool the street and increase the overall canopy cover of the area to meet our greening targets

Travel lanes and parking lanes will be maintained in both directions.

Steps will be taken to minimise impacts on you. There will be some machinery noise and dust. Temporary changes to the traffic flow and parking will allow access for construction materials and equipment.
