Planting more trees on Morley Avenue, Rosebery
Project Status: In progress
Works begin late April 2024 and will take around 4 weeks to complete, weather permitting. Works will take place from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturday as required.
What we’re doing
We’re planting 5 new trees on Morley Avenue, Rosebery.
We’re installing:
- 2 raised landscaped median strips on Morley Avenue between Rothschild and Primrose Avenue
- 5 new trees to provide shade, cool the street and increase overall canopy cover of the area to meet our greening targets.
Our contractor QMC group will carry out the works.
Steps will be taken to minimise impacts. There will be some machinery noise and dust. Temporary changes to the traffic flow and parking will allow access for construction materials and equipment.
Why we’re doing this
This is part of our work to keep our streets cool, calm and green.
Following community consultation, the project was endorsed by the Local Pedestrian, Cycling and Traffic Calming Committee.
