Help at hand
When out and about, City rangers are quite often the face of the City of Sydney. They are often approached and asked for information and directions by travellers, and maybe even a few locals.
Each year, 163 rangers handle more than 18,000 requests and hand out 2,000 tourist maps provided for free by the City.
Rangers work round the clock. Most work their beats on a rotating roster between 6am and 10pm, as well as a night shift ensuring the City is served by its rangers 24 hours a day.
