Serving older Sydneysiders
The City of Sydney has a fleet of community transport buses and a crew of bus drivers who provide daily door-to-door pick up and drop home services for older Sydney residents.
As well as older residents, people with a disability and other community members use the buses, which take them to our Over 55s Centres and other activity/community centres. Once a month drivers pick up residents for special centre events such as 'Big Bingo'. They also enjoy regular half and full-day bus trips.
Over 55s have access to a host of services, from morning teas and formal meals to computer classes and special outings, like fishing trips.
The City also transports residents to subsidised podiatry sessions and to exercise classes including hydrotherapy and aerobics.
