Education and training
Free obedience training courses
Local residents can attend a free obedience training course with their canine in one of our dog-friendly parks. Provided by Procanine, a specialist training company, the course helps owners learn and practice the skills they need to maintain a well-mannered dog.
The course runs over 6 consecutive weeks and suits dogs aged 5 months and over. To take part, your dog must have had all necessary vaccinations.
Courses are held in the parks listed below. Dates for 2013 will be available soon.
- Sydney Park (St Peters)
- Federal Park (Glebe)
- Ward Park (Surry Hills)
- Harmony Park (Surry Hills)
- Joynton Park (Green Square)
- Rushcutters Bay Park (Rushcutters Bay)

Places are limited. Contact Procanine directly to express your interest in attending a course. They will process and confirm your booking.
