Community groups work hard to make our villages a great home not just for us, but for our plants and animals too. These local groups are helping to restore local bushland through planting local indigenous plants, weeding and other work to encourage birds, lizards and other species in our villages.

We Heart Sydney Park Along with our partners, Conservation Volunteers, we're looking for keen green thumbs to help care for Sydney Park. Sessions run Wednesdays 9.30am–2.30pm and some Saturdays 9.30am–2.30pm. Register with Conservation Volunteers to get involved – you can register for a single session or come along every week. Glebe Bushcare Group Meets Wednesday mornings at sites in Federal and Jubilee parks, Glebe.
Pyrmont Ultimo Landcare Meets Wednesday mornings at various sites in Pyrmont and at Wentworth Park light rail station every Sunday morning. Pyrmont Ultimo Landcare
Friends of Orphan School Creek Meets periodically at Orphan School Creek in Forest Lodge.
The Glebe Society's Blue Wren Group Promotes small bird habitat conservation through planting days, working bees and other events in Glebe and Forest Lodge throughout the year.  Blue Wren Group
