Planning tips

Choose the location where you want to watch the fireworks ahead of time. Check the Vantage Points map for all the locations with details of site restrictions, facilities and access.

This is a NO glass event. Help make it a safe night for everyone by leaving glass bottles and containers at home. Use recycled or reusable containers instead.
NO BYO alcohol restrictions apply to many vantage point sites, so check the Vantage Points map for details.

Be aware of road closures and traffic changes that are in place throughout the CBD and foreshore area around the harbour as these also affect transport.
Allow extra time for travel and be patient of public transport delays on the night.
Use sunscreen and wear a hat throughout the day and bring extra clothing in case of cooler weather in the evening.
Make sure you eat and drink plenty of food and water throughout the celebrations.
Drink responsibility to ensure you have a safe and memorable night.
