On the stroke of 9pm, the Harbour will be lit up by the magical Family Fireworks show, sponsored once again this year by Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority.
This year’s eight minute display will be the biggest yet, with six firing barges, plenty of special pyrotechnic effects and a synchronised soundtrack which will be broadcast on 104.1 2Day FM and the exclusive live coverage on Network TEN.
Immediately following the 9pm Family Fireworks, the much loved and spectacular Harbour of Light Parade will begin. Over 50 vessels will make a majestic passage on a 15km circuit around the harbour, featuring illuminated emblems representing the 2008 Sydney New Year’s Eve theme, glittering on either their hulls or masts.
The Parade will include Tall Ships, Sydney’s Heritage Fleet, Commercial Charters, Private Vessels and Sydney Ferries.
Parade boats will be visible from the harbour foreshore or click on any of the images below to find out more information about the vessel and how to make a booking on board for Sydney New Year's Eve.
