Improving McKee Street Reserve Playground, Ultimo

Why we’re doing this

We developed a concept plan for the playground upgrade based on your feedback in 2022. We used this feedback to refine the design, which Council approved in February 2023.

What we’re doing

The upgrade includes:

• a swing and merry-go-round, play structure with slides, deck platforms and climbing walls, a shade sail and softfall on the ground
• paved plaza and lawn area with more seats, tables and a barbecue
• a fence to Wattle Lane with plants along it
• removing some smaller trees so the existing mature trees can thrive
• enhanced lighting.
