Gallery

Pine Street Gallery aims to encourage, stimulate and promote local arts & cultural activities through an active and diverse exhibition program. It provides the local community with an affordable public exhibition space and is open to solo artist shows, group shows or exhibitions from a range of different organisations. The Gallery’s annual calendar is curated around a program of high quality works with links to community artists and community issues.

The gallery is also available for one off (evening) events for a very reasonable fee of $100 (usual opening hours for events is 6pm - 8.30pm). The dates of events can be negotiated with the centre, dependant on what exhibition is currently on show (events cannot be held when a private hirer's exhibition is on).

Gallery hire fees for exhibitions include the use of our hanging system. There is an additional small hire fee for use of our gallery furniture (plinths and partitions). If the hirer wishes the gallery to be open on Saturday (usual hours 11am - 4pm) there is an additional staffing cost of $40 per hour.

We can include details of your exhibition (including images) on our website. Everything else is the hirer's responsibility - bumping in and out, marketing and promotion, catering (including bar staff), etc. We provide a staff member for opening night (usual hours 6 - 8.30pm) solely for security reasons and to lock up at the end of the night.

Artists are encouraged to approach the Arts Adminstrator or the Senior Operations Coordinator at Pine Street Creative Arts Centre to discuss possible exhibitions.
