Introduction to SPFX - Film Special Effects

Join Craig Bunker (aka Bunkwaa) for an exciting introduction
to film special effects, or SPFX, as it is called in the industry.
Green Screen (also called Chroma Key Compositing) is
a technique for layering two images together. Green Screen
is commonly used in film special effects for placing an
\object or person in an impossible setting (eg: flying or in
space). Using green screen techniques, you will create
a short film sequence, while learning about filming,
editing and sound effects. Class size: 10 |

Introduction to Stencil Art

Are you inspired by street & stencil art? If the answer is YES, this is an awesome introduction to making stencils like a pro. You will make several basic stencils and print them onto a t-shirt or quality art paper. We use simple materials that are accessible and safe to use for any age including rollers, screen ink and drawing ink. Learn about different stencil materials, selecting and designing images and making art from coin size to gigantic. Learn why stencil art has taken the world by storm! Create a stencil to be printed onto paper, cardboard, or a t-shirt (please bring your own t-shirt).Please note: this course teaches alternative methods of applying stencils without aerosol. Going GOCCO - for paper!

Gocco is a fantastic method of photo-silk screen printing for use in a variety of applications for both paper & fabric. This simple technique will get you ‘going gocco’ in no time! The Gocco unit is a self contained compact colour printing system invented in 1977. Do you have an image, design or words you’ve been longing to get into print? This is your chance to create an edition of A5 – A4 multi coloured postcards, zines, CD covers or art prints. You will need an A5 photocopy (or smaller) design or artwork ready for the first class. work with fabric swatches and be inspired by texture and

Join us in the Pine Street Gallery for a relaxed evening of art and craft. Like the old fashioned knitting circles of yesterday, we will work together as a group. You can bring your art and craft projects to work on and discuss. You will have access to craft materials, photocopying and kitchen facilities. A great night to get busy with crafts such as jewellery, felting, knitting, needle work, crochet and zine making. An experienced art tutor will be on hand to assist you with your projects if needed. Ready, Steady, Craft is a great way to test out new products or creations and get feedback from other creative young people. BOOKINGS, PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY
Bookings: At the time of booking, credit card details
must be supplied. Payment will not be processed until we reach minimum numbers
on your course. If you do not have a credit card, you must come into the Pine
Street Office and pay in person (cash or eftpos) or send us a cheque within one
week of booking your place. Payment can be in full or a minimum of 25% deposit.
After one week, if no payment has been received, your booking will be cancelled
and offered to someone on the waiting list. Only fully paid up and booked
students are allowed into the studios.
Payment: Payment for courses must be made in full two weeks
before the course starts. If full fee is not paid at least two weeks before the
class starts then your booking will be cancelled and offered to someone on the
waiting list.
Student Cancellations: Cancellations made
up to two weeks before the course starts will incur a 25% administration fee.
Cancellations made within two weeks of the course starting will not be refunded.
Once classes have started, missed classes are the student’s responsibility and
students are not eligible for a refund or credit.
Centre
Cancellations: The Centre makes every effort to ensure advertised
courses run. However the Centre reserves the right to alter the program either
before or during the course and to cancel any program if insufficient enrolments
are received. If the Centre cancels a course, you will be offered an alternative
course or a refund if your payment has been processed.
No
Credits: Once a course has started, missed classes are the student's
responsibility and students are not eligible for credit or refund.
No "Make Up" Classes: It is the student's responsibility if
they miss a class. As most of our classes are full, we cannot accommodate an
extra person in a class that they have not booked into. Not only is an OHS risk
but it impacts negatively on the tutor and other students who are legitimately
booked into that class.
Concessions: City of Sydney
residents who have a current benefit card are eligible to apply for a
concession. Proof of benefit must be provided when booking. Concession rate is
also available on our children’s courses - parents who have a current benefit
card are eligible to pay the concession rate.
Payment
Methods: Cash, eftpos, cheque/money order (made out to City of Sydney),
Visa and Mastercard.
