Also a key figure in the establishment of the London Climate Change Agency, she is internationally recognised for her environmental expertise. In 2006, Business Week Magazine named her as one of the world's twenty most influential people in the battle against greenhouse gas emissions.

Vision Mumbai seeks to overhaul the city's transport infrastructure, drastically improve low-income housing availability and increase economic growth by 8-10% p.a. by 2013.
