What we’re doing

We are developing a concept plan for new public spaces in this area.

Bounded by Danks, Bourke, McEvoy and Morehead streets, this precinct is part of the Green Square urban renewal area.

We want these spaces to reflect the existing character of the local area and its people, acknowledge and celebrate local Aboriginal perspectives, and become a welcoming place to live and work for all.

The concept ideas being developed include:

  • a central park
  • plaza with heritage buildings
  • a neighbourhood pocket park.

5 separate landowners and industrial strata units privately own land in this precinct.

We’re developing the designs to ensure that when future development takes place, well-designed and quality open spaces are available for our communities.

The concept designs will be given to developers who will progress them to detailed design and construction.
