Prince Alfred Park

The newly refurbished Prince Alfred Park comprises over 7.5 hectares of green open space providing a wide range of recreational facilities including:

  • A new tennis centre comprising of five outdoor floodlit tennis courts
  • Two new floodlit community basketball courts
  • Two new playgrounds with traditional and creative play equipment for children of all ages
  • A series of exercise fitness stations distributed throughout the park
  • 3 New BBQ and picnic facilities
  • An off-leash area for the exercising and socialising of dogs; and
  • A grass sports field suitable for informal ball games;

 

A new aquatic facility with outdoor swimming pool is currently under construction and expected to be open to the public in mid 2012.

The swimmers can enjoy the excellent facilities at nearby Victoria Park Swimming Pool on City Road, Darlington.
