Kings Cross Library & NSC upgrade
Upgrades for facility revealed
The $1.2 million refurbishment of Kings Cross Library and Neighbourhood Service Centre was officially unveiled by Lord Mayor Clover Moore.
Transformed into a modern, hi-tech space, the library’s improvements include new computers, a wifi lounge area and facilities for adult learning.
The new level 2 at the library provides lounge chairs and seating areas with power points for portable devices, a bank of computers with free internet access, meeting room, computer training room, a function area with space for 50 people, room for magazines, newspapers and community notices along with a space for art exhibitions.
Popular library programs that will make full use of the new area include Late Night Library, Authors up the Cross, film screenings and children’s story time readings.
