Reconciliation Park playground renewal works

The improvements have created a better park for everyone.

Project Status: Completed

Construction was completed mid-2015 and the park reopened on Saturday 20 June 2015.

What we’re doing

A concept plan was presented to the community at an on-site drop-in session in March 2013. Feedback about the plan informed the design development.

We also included ideas from students at Darlington Public School.

The renewal included:

  • a new playground with a treehouse, slide, monkey bars and swings
  • more seating and spaces to relax
  • space for a community garden and composting facility
  • a lawn area for general recreation and dog walking
  • new trees and shrubs
