Renwick Street playground upgrade
New equipment makes it a more pleasant space for children and families.
Project Status: Completed
Work started in June and completed in September 2016.
What we’re doing
Upgrades that included:
- new play equipment, speaking tubes, wind sculpture, swing and climbing structure with slide, and a fun balancing sculpture
- new pathways for easy access
- new boundary fencing and gates
- a new water bubbler
- new timber seating and sandstone seating pods
- a new planting scheme that enhances the existing trees and adds larger shrubs.
Lord Mayor Clover Moore officially launched the upgraded playground on Sunday 6 November 2016.
