Child care for East Sydney
Plans updated
A community meeting on 13 April supported the updated plans for the new child care and community centre at 277 Bourke Street, Darlinghurst that include:
- retaining access via Berwick Lane
- adding a lightweight bridge from the centre to the upgraded playground
- the lower ground floor being a community space.
There are also plans for some public domain improvements next to the building as well as drop-off car spaces away from the cycleway.
A new project for 2 new green spaces at 222 Palmer Street and O'Brien Lane Reserve will include community workshops to finalise the designs.
