Victoria Street

Renewal in Potts Point

The City has recently spent more than $1 million on greening Victoria Street, Potts Point. The Lord Mayor, Clover Moore unveiled the proposals at a community meeting on Monday 17 October 2011 and the works were completed in 2012.

These improvements have made the area more user-friendly and attractive by calming traffic and created a greener Victoria Street with new plantings, kerb extensions, landscaping and planter boxes.

Community consultation

A community meeting was held on Monday 17 October 2011 for residents to hear about the City’s plans to transform and beautify Victoria Street and deal with backpacker vehicles.

Based on feedback from the community, median planter boxes were not constructed within Victoria Street.
