Draft planning controls North Rosebery Precinct
Exhibition period closed
The City of Sydney exhibited new planning controls for the North Rosebery precinct and invited submissions.
The North Rosebery precinct is an 18 hectare site within the Green Square urban renewal area and like some other areas south of the City it has been undergoing a change in character from light industrial and commercial to predominantly residential. The new planning controls aim to promote a vibrant new residential neighbourhood with cafés, ground floor shops and a new park. The site is generally bounded by Epsom Road, Dalmeny Avenue, Kimberley Grove and Rothschild Avenue.
We exhibited a draft planning proposal and an associated draft amendment to the Sydney Development Control Plan 2012 (Sydney DCP 2012).
The draft planning proposal seeks to amend building heights, floor space ratio and heritage controls in the Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012.
The supporting draft amendment to the Sydney DCP 2012 provides detailed controls including minimum setbacks, heights in storeys and the public domain design.
The exhibition of the draft planning proposal is in accordance with section 57 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. The exhibition of the draft amendment to the Sydney DCP 2012 is in line with Part 3 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000.
