Obtain a classification of a building under the Building Code of Australia.
Project Status: When you need to do this
A compliance certificate is used to have a building classified, or part classified, under the Building Code of Australia.
When issuing a construction certificate and complying development certificate, a certifier will classify the building or structure in accordance with the BCA.
What you need to do

Ensure that all fields have been filled in correctly.

Prepare your plans and documents
These must be in digital form and comply with our digital requirements.

Lodge the completed application (along with a contract for certification work) by email to [email protected].
Before you start

Enter a contract for certification work
You must enter a contract for certification work before an assessment of your application is commenced. You must complete and sign the contract for certification work and attach it to this application. Your application cannot be processed until this is attached. When the application, together with the contract, is lodged the contract will be executed and a copy will be forwarded to you for your records.
