Connecting women entrepreneurs

The City is a patron sponsor of Springboard Enterprises Australia, an Australian-first program to connect women with entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts.

Women-led companies that successfully apply for the accelerator program receive hands-on coaching from industry experts and exposure to Springboard's network of VCs, angels, corporate investors, seasoned entrepreneurs and strategic partners in Australia and the US.

Startup funding

Innovation funding supports the development or implementation of new technologies or processes that are currently not being used in the local market, but have the potential to improve environmental sustainability. Startup Good 360 has been a recipient.

Networking and events

CeBIT Australia is a major ICT business event focused on the use of technology to improve business productivity. The event has increasingly become a platform for international trade and business negotiations, which the City has supported since 2010.

Startups, small business, corporates, government, universities, students and investors are all invited to come together to celebrate Australian innovation. The City supported the first festival (previously Startup Week Sydney) held in Sydney in 2015 and will support the event from 2016–2018.

Tech Startups 101 business seminars, produced by the City of Sydney, offers expert insights on Sydney’s tech startup ecosystem.  Podcasts are available.

Remix is a global summit exploring the intersection of culture, technology and entrepreneurship which the City has supported since 2013.
