Declare business ownership changes

Food premises, beauty salons and hairdressers, and other businesses whose activities are regulated by public health laws must notify us when they change hands.

Project Status: When you need to do this

This registration applies to food businesses, food premises as sites used for handling food for sale, sex premises, beauty salons and other businesses whose activities are regulated by public health laws. Activities regulated by public health laws include:

  • skin penetration such as body piercers, tattooists and acupuncturists
  • shared accommodation such as hotels, hostels
  • swimming or any business that has a public pool or spa.

These businesses must notify us if they:

  • close down or stop trading
  • move to new premises
  • open another business
  • sell to a new proprietor
  • change their trading name.

What you need to do

  1. Complete the form

    Ensure that all fields have been filled in correctly.

  2. Lodge the completed form

    Lodge by email, in person or mail.
